Bare Fiber Strands are cladded step index fibers with no sheath manufactured by Coherent and Corning to allow for easy integration in space constrained systems. These fiber spools allow for direct access to the core, facilitating precise measurements and connections as well as allowing for modification to the lengths as needed. Featuring various wavelength ranges spanning the VIS and IR spectra, these fiber spools cover a wide range of applications that require specific wavelengths and provide tight cutoff tolerances. Bare Fiber Strands are designed with core diameters of 3.0μm up to 8.2μm and numerical apertures ranging from 0.12 to 0.14.
