Zaber™ High Load Capacity Motorized Gimbals are large, motorized two-axis rotation platforms that simplify the angular positioning of large components or subsystems within an optical system. All gimbals feature 360° continuous travel, two axis rotation around a single point, speed up to 24°/s, a Cantilevered Load Capacity of 20N-m, a rotary quadrature encoder resolution of 200 counts per revolution (CPR), and are available for payload widths of either 300 or 500mm. Drilled and tapped crossmember plates, used to create a mounting platform within the gimbal, are available with either English (#71-113 or #71-115) or Metric (#71-112 or #71-114) mounting options, and can also be used to quickly swap different components or pre-built subsystems into the gimbal. Zaber™ High Load Capacity Motorized Gimbals feature built-in controllers and motors allowing for closed-loop operation, slip/stall recovery, and independent axis control via a single RS-232 or USB connection for plug-and-play functionality and easy system integration. These gimbals are ideal for telecom, scanning, and tracking applications where high-load capacity and high-precision angular positioning is required. 

Note: A 48 VDC universal power supply, data cables for daisy chaining, and computer interface cables (USB or RS-232) are sold separately as accessories. All Zaber™ High Load Capacity Motorized Gimbals are compatible with Zaber Launcher and Zaber’s Motion Library.
