해당 제품은 좁은 파장 대역을 선별적으로 투과하고 그 외 다른 파장 대역을 차단하는 데 사용됩니다. 바이오테크, 바이오메디컬, 정량적 화학 분석 등 여러 어플리케이션에 적합합니다. 밴드패스 간섭 필터는 일반적으로 임상화학, 환경 테스트, 측색(colorimetry), 원소 및 레이저 라인 분리, 불꽃 광도법, 형광, 면역측정 등의 어플리케이션용 계측 기기에 사용됩니다. 또한, 아크램프(arc lamp)나 가스방전등(gas discharge lamp)에서 스펙트럼 선을 분리된 형태로 각각 선택하거나 아르곤(Ar), 크립톤(Kr), Nd:YAG 및 기타 레이저에서 특정 스펙트럼 라인을 분리하는 데도 사용됩니다. 밴드패스 간섭 필터는 보통 레이저 다이오드 모듈 및 LED와 함께 사용합니다.
